Traditional Men's Barber Services by Ian Caven

Located in the urban-chic Pineapple Grove Arts District in Delray Beach, Florida is Bond Street Salon.  Distinguished for its signature hair care services, Bond Street Salon’s home is embraced in a 1970s vintage inspired white décor that’s accented with heavy-metal black and white paintings. Since being established in the arts district in 2005, the award-winning hair style salon has thrived to include traditional barber services.

Within Bond Street Salon’s innovative environment is master barber Ian Caven, who specializes in traditional men’s barber services. Born to Jamaican parents who immigrated to Bristol, England-United Kingdom, Ian has 25 years styling experience and specializes in men’s barbering, precision clipper and razor cuts, straight razor shaves and non-surgical hair replacement.  Men’s products from the New York Shaving Company are used for Ian’s barbering techniques.

The Bond Street Salon menu of barber services are the Ultimate Shave, Traditional Shave, Traditional Shave and Head Shave, Haircut and Traditional Shave, Ultimate Shave and Head Shave, Beard and Moustache Trim; and Scalp Treatment and Eyebrow Grooming.  Services range from $9 to $60.

In an effort to continue the hair care beyond the salon, Ian provides home shaving tips: “for the best results take time to prepare the skin. The best time to shave is after taking a hot shower…the skin is moist and the pores are open due to the steam. Then re-lather if you don’t have a pre-shave oil at home and apply more lather during the process. Finally, shave across the grain to get the closest shave with the least amount of irritation.”
